Emergency treatment can be carried out by any dentist worldwide, (more than 50 miles from Longborough Dental Practice) other than by your own dentist or an associate of your own dentist. You pay the dentist for the emergency treatment, obtain a receipt detailing the treatment undertaken, bring it to the practice where we will process it for you and you will be reimbursed up to the policy limit. The cover is for emergency temporary dental treatment only up to £400 per incident to a maximum of £800 per policy year.
Accident cover is provided should you suffer an injury as a result of extra-oral impact and undertaken by your own dentist, unless in an emergency, up to a maximum of £10,000 per dental injury.
The cover also includes Hospital Benefit and Oral Cancer lump sum payment.
The significant exclusions are: Damage caused by eating foodstuffs; normal wear and tear; injury whilst participating in contact sports unless mouth protection is worn; damage to dentures other than whilst being worn, costs incurred more than 18 months after the date of the accident; and damage which is not apparent within seven days of the date of injury.
